Dr. C. A. Babariya, born in 1987, is a dedicated agricultural scientist specializing in Genetics and Plant Breeding. He has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, securing First Class with Distinction in B.Sc. (Agri.), M.Sc. (Agri.), and Ph.D. degrees. He currently serves as an Associate Research Scientist at the Wheat Research Station, Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU), Junagadh, Gujarat. With more than 12 years of professional experience in agricultural research, his major expertise lies in wheat improvement, genetics, plant breeding, varietal development, germplasm management, and evaluation of promising genotypes. His research focuses on developing high-yielding, climate-resilient, heat-tolerant and nutritionally superior wheat varieties suited to changing environmental conditions. He is actively involved in wheat breeding programmes, generation advancement, breeder and nucleus seed production, multi-environment testing, and evaluation of breeding materials for agronomic performance and stress tolerance.
